Strangely, due to the coming of finals and other more relevant issues in my life, I have prolongued the appearance of this post, but since last night I suddenly remembered it in HD, and because my dear cousin, the latest reader of this little blog of mine has expressed his curiosity, I have decided to post it right now! This is a true story of what happened to me, my boyfriend and our 4 best friends, all of which have been mentioned here before. It is not something pleasant, and it brought me so much anger and frustration, that when I got home that crappy day, I almost clicked “Add to Cart” on the page describing a certain serated blade hunting knife I had expressed interest in years ago. So, here we go…

Recently, something utterly embarrassing has occurred to me. Probably one of the most horrifyingly embarrassing things in the last year or so. While I was sitting around, minding my own business, I get a message on my Yahoo Messenger. Just for the record, I absolutely despise Yahoo Messenger, though I’ve been using it for years. I guess it is a bit lame and redundant to complain about a free service, but it is a soul crusher and it has caused me so much anger in the past years, I couldn’t care less about the fact that it is free. Free pain and disgust.

Gods of above and below! Yesterday I took the first exam of this semester’s finals! Needless to say it was probably the hardest exam of this series of finals, and probably somewhere in the top 5 of heart-stoppers school has blessed me with through the ages. I am optimistic about it, in my opinion, I so deserve to pass! Seriously, I kind of achieved my goals with this one! After one week of doing nothing but preparing for this exam, I think I’ve earned the right to pass. Pleeeeeaase! Please, pass me! For the love of humanity…and just like that, the score changes: Educational System: 1.000.000+1 – Me: 0.

Cinema, cinema, cinema! The seventh art, is it not? Ah, but it has become so much more than a symbolic part of an artistic universe destined to impress and entertain us. It is a world on its own, it has so many rules, so many idiologies, concepts, treacheries, wars, it is just as complex as the real world, as the one we live in. Movies are so powerful, they are able to transcend the limits between realms. And is this not what artists have desired from the very beginning of time? There are some who succeeded even in the darkened past, and they are immortal now, and we can see into their souls each time we visit their works, imprisoned or freed within museum walls, and each time we become victim to Stendhal Syndrome while watching them.

Okay, so where was I? Ah, yes, we had just gotten off the train and we were heading towards the mountain cabin. This happened on a Sunday, a day when normal people leave the resort to return home. But our holiday was just starting. Because of the huge flow of leavers, the minivan we used could not go all the way up. That was when I first regretted for packing a luggage that could have been used in a time of post-apocalyptic crisis. So when we found ourselves forced to climb all the way to the top on foot, on snow and ice, between cars packed with people sliding dangerously down the slope, I tried to remain calm and optimistic. When I realized, however, that the bag I was carrying was roughly larger than me, I still tried to remain calm. By the time we reached the cabin my shoulders were just parts of my body I could not feel anymore and I had cursed most of the way up.

An older poem of mine. I wrote it in 2008, and it describes my first holiday spent in the mountain resort I mentioned in my previous entries. I was with other people back then, my old classmates, but it was a very, very sweet experience, and a very poetic one. It made me love said mountain resort, thus making me go there with my present university colleagues and best friends. Enjoy.

On the 14th of February 2009, freedom was reinstated over my life. Best Valentine’s day until then. I hate V-day. I will discuss this issue further in my blog, hopefully,on the actual so-called day of lovers. Excuse me while I puke a little to get the excess disgust out of my system. Anyway, after about 4 hours of sleep, we got on a train, a very early 5.30 am train and we left the sleepy little town, already covered in a thin layer of snow that promised greatness with altitude change.

One of the articles I wrote about college and finals. I am rather proud of it. It has an optimistic tone and I believe it holds a lot of truth and sincerity. Enjoy and comment if you’ve had similar experiences.

2009 was the biggest year of my life. Not that it lasted any longer. Strangely, it was also the shortest. A little confused? So was I when I realized that despite the fact that 2009 held the most relevant happenings in my existence, it faded away so fast, I was completely overthrown. Sad how one appreciates the beauty of things the second immediately following their passing.

19 going on 20. Female, Pisces, interested in star signs and the zodiac only when good things supposedly lie ahead. For example, 2010 is supposed to be a freaking awesome year for Pisces, because Jupiter is in the right astronomical position so, rock on!
